Testimonies ~

One lesson I learned was how to be bolder for Christ and not worry so much about my part in reaching out to others.  Every night we would go to a church and do a drama and an altar call.  One night it was my turn to do the altar call, and I was terrified.  On the bus ride to church I kept thinking of how I didn't know what to tell people or what to say and, secretly, kept hoping we would get lost so I wouldn't have to do it.  Well, of course we got to the church, but by the time we arrived I had decided to give it up to God and trust that He was going to give me the words to say that night.  It was so amazing to see nearly the whole church raise their hands and say they had asked Jesus to be their Lord and Savior.  God is so good!  Later when I got home the verse that came to mind when I thought about that day in Peru was John 3:30 that I must become less and Jesus must become greater.  It isn't about what I do, but what God and His Holy Spirit can do through me.  Katie, Missionary to Peru, 2005

I have been changed personally by this trip because I was able to see the book of Acts come alive right before my eyes. It has always been a desire of my heart to see the book of Acts become a reality and during my time in Uganda, it did. There was a sense of community among our team and the interns, there were deep bonds the Lord was forming and it was amazing to be a part of that. We were able to work together well when we went out and ministered in the nearby villages and market places. We witnessed 150-200 people get saved, blind eyes were opened, people were delivered from demonic possession and oppression, the lame walked, tumors disappeared and the name of the Lord was glorified. God is good and I thank Him everyday for what He has done in the lives of these interns, in the natives and in my life. I am humbled by what I was able to be a part of, and now have a heart that is willing to go whenever the Lord calls.   Jennifer Waltersdorf, Missionary to Africa, April 2007

Welcome to the IAM Youth Ablaze website.    IAM Youth Ablaze, a ministry of International Accelerated Missions, is committed to mobilizing and discipling young adults of all nations to love Jesus and to fulfill the Great Commission.  Established in 2000, IAM Youth Ablaze is a tool God has used mightily to impact the lives of many missionaries, adults and hundreds of orphaned children!

So far, our trips have brought us to Mexico, India, Romania, Russia, Peru and Africa, as well as urban cities within the US.  Partnering with national churches, we bring the Gospel to others using creative arts like VBS programs, camp programs, work projects and evangelistic outreaches.

Your missionary experience will begin with a week (or weekend) Boot Camp Experience. This time of consecration and training is designed to make you a more effective missionary as God works in your heart and mind to equip you for His service. During your Boot Camp Experience you will not only begin establishing unity among team members, but will build some pretty cool friendships, too.  All of this occurs as you learn the practical aspects of your camp or VBS program and the creative arts that will be used in our evangelistic outreaches.  For trips involving work projects, you will also learn the skills required to accomplish those tasks.

IAM Youth Ablaze firmly believes times of consecrating ourselves bring valuable rewards on the Mission field.  You will have the awesome opportunity to develop intimacy with the Lord through quiet times, corporate worship, prayer and Godly teachings.  One or two days of fasting and prayer is incorporated into the Boot Camp Experience as well.

You will discover this one trip is not your only mission in life, and it doesn’t end when you step off the plane.  You will begin to understand that your mission field is also at home, and the same principles you learned and applied on your trip can be used at home, too.  The mission field is an excellent place for all of us to mature and grow in our faith.  Once we realize God really can, and will, use us to minister to others it is life-changing.

If you join us on a trip, you will not come back the same!  God will leave an indelible mark on your heart and soul
.
